Can you eat and drink healthy at Christmas
Yes you can very easily.
Lets start with drinks which we all tend to have at Christmas time.
Wine: Why not add soda water to it. I have a lady who comes to see me and she has worked out that she can get six drinks out of her 200mls of wine.
Beer: Pour it into a glass instead of drinking it out of the bottle. You will drink less this way
Spirits: Instead of a full or half nip put a little less in. Have it on ice or with soda and lime or lemon.
Munchies:
Dips: Always have low fat dips and instead of scooping the dip onto your biscuit just go up and down you still get the taste. Use vegie strips or rice crackers where possible.
If you want something sweet try mixing low fat cottage cheese/cream cheese with lemon juice and icing sugar and serve it with sweet biscuits.
Always have a large drink of water before you go to a party or out for a meal. Many times we think we are hungry but in reality we are thirsty.
Christmas time is a lonely time for many people so instead of reaching for the cake or biscuits how about going for a walk.
You will feel so much better.
